The registration process for the degree The registration process for a Business Management degree is very simple and involves two steps – registering with the college and registering with ABE. The registration forms for both will usually be available on the college’s website. Applicants can also contact the support teams, including the Programme Manager, and Programme Administrator, using the contact details provided on the college website for further help regarding registration. The support team is well-trained and can be contacted via email and calls. The assessments and grades awarded. In the three semesters of a Business Management degree in Trinidad and Tobago, students will be assessed through assessments including assignments and open book examinations. In the first semester (Semester A), students are assessed via assignment only. In Semesters B and C, open book examinations are also conducted in addition to the assignments. Open book exams have become a viable approach to assess students as students now have more time to complete their exam while having access to relevant resources to support their undertaking of the assessment. This allows open book exams to evaluate students’ ability to solve real life problems by applying theory to solve practical business problems. Fees are payable every semester, only for those units enrolled in, to both the college facilitating the education and to ABE. The college fee is split into two – registration fee and tuition fee. The registration fee is payable every semester, and the tuition fee is calculated per unit. The former is a standard $200 each semester, and the latter ranges from $1,200 per unit at Level 4 to $1,600 per unit at Level 5 across the three semesters. Similarly, the ABE fee is split into a registration fee and an assessment fee. The registration fee payable to ABE ranges from GBP 45 to GBP 75, and the assessment fee ranges from GBP 50 per unit to GBP 75 per unit. A portion of the fee can be paid upfront, and the remaining can be paid in due course, as agreed upon by the college and the applicants. Some colleges even offer up to 50% off on the tuition fee for repeaters.
